Welcome to the Spring! The spring has finally arrived and bluebonnets and other flowers are beginning to bloom, spring break is over, and now the real work begins for the rest of the year! Algebra I will be taking their Texas STAAR End of Course Exam on May 7 and Freshmen will have other tests that week also. Algebra I is currently learning about arithmetic and geometric sequences and are learning about the differences between recursive formulas and explicit formulas. Recursive formulas can find the next term in a sequence and explicit formulas can find any term in a sequence. We will be finished with sequences next week and will have one more short unit on polynomials and factoring before we start the test review at the end of April. Geometry is currently learning about Triangle Relationships including special centers in triangles related to perpendicular bisectors, angle bisectors, medians, and altitudes.
